Is intensive short-term rental activity contributing to COVID-19 surge in Toronto’s Waterfront community?


Addendum_Sep_24_2020_final: We take a closer look at Airbnb activity in Toronto during Ontario’s province wide ban on short term rentals.   Listings that were highly active were concentrated in dense, high rise condo or apartment buildings, many of them located along the city’s central waterfront.  Two of these neighbourhoods have reported the highest number of recent COVID cases in the city.
